Meet the Hunt District PTA
The Hunt District PTA is one of the twenty-one districts of the Virginia PTA. We provide support, training, networking and advocacy collaboration opportunities for PTAs and PTSAs in Clarke County, Frederick County, Loudoun County, Warren County and Winchester City.
Our Hunt District Officers live here in the Hunt District, and just like you, are actively involved in their children's schools and know what is happening in our community. Taking time to support our leaders face to face or via telephone is what sets the PTA apart. We are here to answer your questions, meet you at the coffee shop, attend your meetings and provide any other support or guidance you need to help you build a strong PTA and a close partnership between your parents and your school!
Local Training & Networking
As a District, we host roundtables and speakers several times a year so that local PTA leaders have an opportunity to share ideas and solutions, as well as seek support for advocacy concerns. The PTA offers training programs and leadership tools to remove the administrative burdens and help you run your PTA, by focusing on what's important - your families and school!
The National PTA provides valuable tools to help you host fun Family Engagement Events that build school spirit and help families enjoy learning together. See Event Tools for overviews, how to videos, ready to use posters, flyers and more.
The Virginia and National PTA student recognition programs uniquely allow PTAs to recognize students for talents beyond what may be recognized in school. When you hold a creative arts Reflections contest, a healthy recipe Power Plates contest or a Citizenship Essay contest, your winning students can move on to compete at the District level and the Virginia PTA state level. Reflections winners have on opportunity to compete at a national level and be recognized by the National PTA.
Local Unit and Leader Recognition
We want to celebrate you - our leaders - and all the hard work you are doing to build strong family to school partnerships. Apply for a local unit award, or nominate an individual that has helped you be successful.
If you aren't a PTA, but are ready to elevate your Parent Teacher Organization to the next level, please contact us - we would love to meet you and have you join us at an upcoming roundtable!
