Volunteer of the Year Award These awards are given to a Local PTA Volunteer who has made a positive impact on the school and its children. This special person does not need to be the person who logs the most volunteer hours or is a PTA executive board member. Nominations must be submitted to the District Director by March 15, 2020. Power Partner Awards Recognizes and honors principals (elementary and secondary) as well as superintendents who have shown that a strong family-school partnership is the key to student success!

Child Advocate of the Year Celebrate someone who has made a significant STATEWIDE impact for Virginia's children through their advocacy efforts. This person may be a public official, a PTA member, community leader or even a student who has brought positive change to our children and schools. Honorary Virginia PTA Service Awards (Request at least 2 weeks before your awards ceremony) Your Local PTA can recognize your exceptional leaders or those that significantly impact your community with a special State Award of recognition and appreciation! Awards such a Honorable Life Membership, Student Leadership, Distinguished Service and Certificates of Appreciation will be prepared by the Virginia PTA with your local unit's contribution ($25-$75) to the Virginia PTA Scholarship Fund. Simply provide the name of the person you want to recognize and payment to the scholarship fund. Learn more about Honorary Service Awards.
