As a District, we host Leadership Roundtables several times a year to provide a unique forum for local elected PTA (and PTO) officers to share ideas and solutions for growing family engagement and seek support for advocacy concerns.  Our Parent Information Sessions are open to all parents, students, teachers, staff and community members to learn about a topic of community concern from subject matter experts and discuss ways we can collaborate, as a county, to address those concerns.

We actively advocate for the needs of our schools and students not only within our local schools but also with the school administration, the county government, State Legislatures, the US Congress and the State and National Departments of Education.  A nationally organized and supported advocacy effort that supports changing policies, laws, programs and funding for education is unique to the PTA and sets us apart from unaffiliated Parent Groups. Parents are encouraged to attend PTA meetings at their school so that their elected PTA Officers can represent your school's concerns and needs at Hunt District Meetings and Events.

Hunt District PTA Officers
2019 - 2021

Hunt District Executive Committee members are elected by district PTA members in odd years to serve a 2 year term.

Simpson Middle School.

As District Director, Kirsten sits on the Virginia PTA Board of Directors and serves on several Virginia PTA Committees, including Advocacy, Fall Back to Basics, State Membership, Nominations and more. She also served as the Virginia PTA Membership VP from October 2020-March 2021.

Assistant Director  ->  Amanda Lynch (she/her/hers)
Amanda is currently serving her second term as President of Pinebrook Elementary School PTA. She has previously served as the Reflections Chair. Her children attend Pinebrook Elementary School.

Secretary/Treasurer  ->  Jennifer Travis (she/her/hers)
